PHILOSOPHY

For more than 30 years the ATI department delivers a degree dedicated to CGI and all its fields, giving access to many career opportunities :

  • Animation and VFX
  • Video game
  • Virtual and augmented reality
  • Digital interactive performances

The teaching philosophy always relies on the double acquisition of both artistic and technical skills :

  • Students learn programming (from principles and algorithms of digital imagery to software and tools development) through which they get a very deep technical understanding of the tools they use. The students are not limited by “black boxed” softwares, they get to modify and enhance them to their needs. This is extremely appreciated within the industry : our students are autonomous and not restricted by software limitations. A guarantee of a perpetual creativity in an ever changing technological landscape.

  • Practical and theoretical courses on 2D/3D softwares along with the creation of stills and animated short films, interactive installations (games, virtual reality...). Students are often placed in production-like environments during intensive projects in short time spans (1 to 3 weeks).

We also firmly believe that having promotion of people from many different background (art schools, IT degrees...) gives us an unique environment : students motivate, enrich and help each other constantly. Artistic and technical experimentations are strongly encouraged and students get to keep the program evolving through an easy and continuous dialogue with the teachers.

We 're cool !
